Fable III DLC expected Nov 23
The first DLC has been announced for Fable III and there are a few things to choose from (unless you want it all of course). All the below mentioned DLC will be available on the XBOX Live Marketplace on Nov 23 2010.
- The Understone Quest Pack (400 MS Points): Includes 3 new quests, one of which lets you decide the fate of The Understone, a shooting range with in-game prizes and "The Wheel of Misfortune" which offers arena-based challenges.
- Exclusive Hair Pack (160 MS Points): Includes different hair styles to choose from.
- 5 Star Dog Potion (80 MS Points): Gives your canine companion the full 5-star ability for treasure hunting (or you could just earn or buy the book in the game, there is a dog book seller in Brightwall, hint hint, don't be dumb and waste your money).
- Reaver Industries Hero Outfit (160 MS Points)
- Colorful Dye Pack (80 MS Points)

Fable III Footage Debuts at X10
Adapting weaponry, morphing, new combat moves all add up to "A Damn Good Adventure."
Fable III Not an RPG?
Yes, you heard correctly. Fable III may not even really be an RPG. Peter Molyneux said while speaking at Microsoft's X10 event in San Fransisco that "I'm not sure I even call Fable an RPG anymore. Certainly not a 1990's RPG, for sure." While this is hugely disappointing for many hardcore Fable fans, Molyneux went on to describe a bit more detail of the upcoming game. "In a way, you could look at it and say it's like an action adventure. There's a lot of drama, there's a lot of story, there's a lot of emotion in there - but with leveling up. I love that leveling up," he added that being given a pre-planned character and told 'this is you no matter what' is not to his liking. Not to mine either and I am sure not to many others.
It was also revealed that the game has changed in a few other ways as well. There's no HUD, when the player is in danger the coloring of the screen will change, similar to Mass Effect 2 and Modern Warfare 2. The expression system has also been replaced with a touch mechanic. This allows players to interact with other characters by holding hands, hugging, shaking, etc. No word on whether this 'touch mechanic' will require Project Natal.
Fable III has been confirmed for a Holiday 2010 release date.

Fable III will indeed be a Project Natal enabled RPG
There is also mention that Fable III will indeed be a Project Natal enabled RPG. So there they go, shoving that down our throats. Personally, I am not a fan of any motion sensing technology, I often think it detracts from the gameplay. They did say "Fable III will be controller based, for sure" but will also include the Project Natal technology.
Lionhead's Sam Van Tilburgh posted on his Twitter account says that for the first time at an unnamed event next month they will be showing two Fable III videos, he is currently writing the storyboard summaries for them now. Fable III is expected to be released Holiday 2010.

Fable 3 Coming in 2010
Gamescom's Peter Molyneux announced today from Germany that Fable 3 will be coming in late 2010 - likely the holidays - to the XBOX360. The story takes place about 50 years after the first. You will play as the son or the daughter of your Fable 2 hero and start a journey to becoming the ruler of Albion. Some of the new features in the upcoming game include "judgement and touch" where you can decide how certain situations will unfold, more character interaction and more focus will be on the story itself. During the story, you will have to make promises to factions and then later you will have to decide to keep or break those promises. All your decisions will effect what kind of kingdom you will have; poverty/greed, tyranny/compassion or progress/tradition. One of the biggest things mentioned is that after you complete the story, there will still be many things to do - unlike in Fable 2 - however, those details have not been released. Watch the teaser trailer below.
